Versailles vs Niort Betting Tips - Under 2.5 Goals

Hosts Versailles enter Monday´s National 1 encounter buoyed by recent 1:0 away victories at Villefranche and Chofet. Up to tenth in the division, Jean-Luc Vasseur´s side picked up seven points from their last three matches after winning just one of their previous nine league contests. 

However, despite their recent improvements, Versailles have struggled in home fixtures. Vasseur´s men have failed to win their last five matches at the Stade Jean Bouin while they have only recorded three victories in 15 games on home soil since April 2023.

Goals have been in short supply for Versailles. The home side have seen under 2.5 goals scored in five of their last six matches while they have bagged just two goals in their last four games at the Stade Jean Bouin.

Visiting Niort come into Monday´s matchup in high spirits after picking up another victory last weekend. Philippe Hinschberger´s side have won six and lost only one of their last nine matches and now sit second in the division, eight points behind leaders Red Star.

On the road, Niort enjoyed a four-game unbeaten run before a 1:0 loss at Dijon in their most recent away fixtures.

Like Versailles, Niort have seen under 2.5 goals in a high proportion of recent fixtures. Hinschberger´s side have seen that outcome in four of their last six away matches while they claimed a narrow 1:0 win when these sides last faced each other last October.

A tough match to call, Niort could have enough in the tank to get back to winning ways but I expect a tight contest, so the under 2.5 goal pick looks the safest call.

I expect less than three goals scored on Monday with the visitors capable of picking up a narrow away win.
