After both teams have won their first games at Copa America, Venezuela and Mexico will face off against each other in the second round at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Venezuela are #54 on FIFA's World Ranking list and 8th (out of ten teams) in the South American Region. They are a team that have never appeared in the World Cup but are a regular participant in the Copa America, appearing in the last 19 tournaments.
