The Serie A is slowly coming to an end, and even though there are only two rounds left, there are still a lot of things to be decided, like the European spots for the teams outside the top four. One of those teams that are trying to secure a European spot is Torino, which will have a difficult job against AC Milan in the 37th round at home at Stadio Olimpico di Torino in Turin.
Torino are playing its 12th consecutive season in Serie A, where it was mostly a mid-table team. In the recent two seasons, they finished tenth and are on pace to have another similar finish. Right now, they sit in 10th place with 50 points, one point away from 9th-placed Napoli and two away from 8th-placed Fiorentina, although with a game played more. But this year, they could even secure Europe even from that 10th place. However, Fiorentina must win the ECL finals, and Atalanta must win the Europa League.
AC Milan will once again finish the season without a trophy. Rossoneri had a decent season in Serie A but will finish second since their city rival, Inter, had an incredible season. Now, in the remaining two games, Rossoneri are without a motive because they cannot move up or down. Rossoneri's best chance of winning the title this year was through the Europa League, but they were stopped in the Quarterfinals by another Italian team, AS Roma.
Torino vs AC Milan pick: Draw
This year, Torino have been the second-best team in Serie A for this bet, as 14 of their 36 Serie A games (39%) finished as draws. Only Udinese had more draws this season (18) than the popular Bull. Also, at home, Torino played very similar games as four of the last five matches finished as goalless draws!
AC Milan is in really bad form, having won only against Cagliari in the last seven matches. Three of those seven matches ended as draws. Yes, they are definitely a more talented team, but considering they are without a motive and in poor form, we do not think they can win all three points away from home.
Considering all the above, we expect a really close match that could very easily end in a draw.
