CAF World Cup qualification continues on Tuesday evening as South Africa takes on Zimbabwe at Free State Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein.

South Africa vs Zimbabwe Betting Tips - South Africa to Win

South Africa comes into Tuesday's contest very much in need of a victory after failing to win their last two WC qualification matches in Group C of the CAF World Cup qualifiers.

Having begun their campaign with a 2:1 win against Benin last year, the Bafana Bafana slipped to a shock 2:0 defeat in Rwanda before a 1:1 draw against Nigeria on Friday.

Placed fourth in the six-team section, and knowing only the group winners are guaranteed to move to the next phase of the qualification process, the hosts will be desperate to pick up all three points on Tuesday.

South Africa do have a strong recent record in home qualification contests. The Bafana Bafana won eight and lost only two of their last ten over the past decade.

Visiting Zimbabwe make the trip to Blonfontein still in search of their first win in Group C. Jairos Tapera´s side did pick up back-to-back draws against Rwanda and Nigeria before a 2:0 home defeat against Lesotho on Friday.

Away from home, the Warriors have failed to win any of their last 14 WC qualification matches, a depressing run that stretches back over two decades. Zimbabwe lost ten of those road matches, including six of the last seven. In addition, the Warriors have not won any of their last WC qualifiers since 2019.

South Africa edged to a 1:0 win when these nations last met in WC qualification back in 2021, while the hosts have claimed victory in four of their last five home matches against Zimbabwe since the turn of the century.

A low-scoring encounter seems likely on Tuesday, but I´m backing South Africa to boost their qualification hopes with a vital victory at the Free State Toyota Stadium.
