Slovenia and Denmark kick-off day three of Euro 2024 when they clash at Stuttgart Arena on Sunday.

Slovenia vs Denmark Betting Tips: BTTS / Slovenia or draw

In a competitive looking section featuring England and Serbia, both nations will see this opening fixture as vital in their bid to reach the round of sixteen.

While Denmark come into Sunday's contest as favourites to claim all three points, Slovenia´s recent form suggests they will prove a handful in Group C. Unbeaten in 11 of their last 12 matches, including each of their last six, Matjaž Kek´s side have plenty of confidence ahead of this weekend´s fixture.

Slovenia enjoyed a serene qualification campaign which saw them qualify behind Denmark in the same section, with 22 points from ten games played. Returning to this competition for only the second time in their history, the Slovenians will fancy their chances of claiming a first-ever win at the European Championships.

Denmark also qualified for this summer's competition with 22 points, after a 2:1 win against Slovenia in Copenhagen helped edge them to the top of the section. Slovenia picked up a 1:1 draw in their reverse meeting in Ljubljana last year.

The Danes have found some strong form of their own in the past year. The Danes scored victories in nine of their last 12 matches. The only blot on their copybook was a surprise 2:0 defeat against Northern Ireland in their final Euro 2024 qualifier. Kasper Hjulmand´s side had already qualified before their defeat in Belfast.

In what is likely to prove an evenly balanced contest, I fancy both teams to net on Sunday. Slovenia have proven they are more than capable of taking a positive result, and while Denmark have plenty of experience, it remains to be seen if they are as strong as in campaigns gone by.

The Danes have seen BTTS in five of their last eight matches and in six of their previous eight European Championship matches since 2012. Slovenia, for their part, have seen both teams net in five of their last seven matches, and in two of three previous games at the finals of this competition.

I´m backing both to score with the expectation that we could see the spoils shared in Stuttgart.
