Red Star will be looking for three points that will take them another step closer to a return to Ligue 2 when they host Nancy on Friday evening.

Since relegating from the French second division at the end of the 2018/19 season, things have not gone so well for the hosts. Habib Beye's side did come close to promotion last season, finishing just two points off the top two places. One of Redstar's greatest strengths this season has been their defense. The hosts have the third-best defense in this division and finished each of their last three outings without conceding. All three encounters ended with under 2.5 goals.

Nancy's are not known for having a great defence, but Les Chardons always defend well against Redstar. Having kept a clean sheet in half of the previous eight meeting between the two sides, Pablo Correa's men will certainly give themselves a chance of taking at least a point from Friday's game.
