Red Bull Bragantino last season finished 6th, just four points from reaching the Copa Libertadores. From the 6th place, they had to go through the qualifications, and after losing to Botafogo, they eventually ended up in the Copa Sudamericana this year. Vasco da Gama were one of the worst teams in Serie A last season, and they were terrible away from home, winning only 16 points in 19. Yes, they had success in recent awey matches, but those were mostly against poor teams from the state league. We do not think they can continue with those games against a Serie A competition.
