Even though Pyramids are one of the newly-founded teams in Egypt, they quickly became one of the best in the country. In the last two seasons, they finished 2nd, behind Al Ahly and Zamalek, but not really close to winning the title. However, this year, Pyramids are having an excellent season in the domestic league as they are 1st with 50 points from 21 matches (2.38 per game). Their biggest threat this year is Al Ahly, which played six games fewer and won 33 points - 2.2 per game. If they would go on and win the title, that would be their first in the club's history. Conversely, they weren't great in the AFC Champions League, failing to secure the knockout phase. Still, if they win the domestic title, this season will be a massive success. 

El Gounah returned to the Egyptian top-flight division after winning Division 2 last year. Before they were relegated, El Gounah were mostly a mid-table team, and this year, they are on pace for another mid-table finish. Right now, they are in 11th place, already ten points away from the danger zone. Still, they are in poor form, and their recent games are definitely a reason for concern.

On the other hand, El Gounah are in terrible form, having won just two points in the last four matches. Away from home, they were even worse, winning one point in the last three games while failing to score every time. Looking at the xG, we can see they even struggled to create chances, as they were combined for 0.6 xG (0.2 per game). So, it is hard to expect a good performance against the best team in the league at this moment.

In the first h2h game this season, Pyramids totally dominated the game and won 4:0 away from home. Now, with a massive difference in form and considering all the above, we believe Pyramids should secure a comfortable home win.
