Portugal kick-off their Euro 2024 preparations when they take on Finland at the Estádio José Alvalade on Tuesday.

Portugal vs Finland Betting Tips - Portugal to win/Over 2.5 Goals

One of the favourites to go all the way this summer, Portugal will be confident of claiming a morale-boosting win in the first of three friendly fixtures ahead of their Euro 2024 opener against Czechia in two weeks' time.

Portugal have enjoyed an excellent run of form over the past year, picking up 11 successive victories before a surprise 2:0 defeat at Slovenia in March. Particularly strong in Lisbon, Roberto Martinez´s side have won each of their last seven matches on home soil with a whopping 30 goals scored in the process.

In contrast, an inconsistent Finland, who will not participate in Germany, have suffered defeat in four of their last seven matches played over the past Nine months.

Markku Kanerva´s side were in contention to qualify, but a heavy 3:0 defeat in Slovenia, before a 4:1 playoff defeat against Wales, ensured the Finns will be watching this summer's tournament from the sidelines.

On the road, Finland have lost four of seven games played in the past year, and given the strength of opponent on Tuesday, another away loss seems likely.

Indeed, with Portugal looking to build up continuity and confidence, I expect the hosts to ease to victory with a minimum of three match goals scored. That outcome has occurred in eight of the Portuguese last 12 victories.
