A place in the finals of the Championship Playoff final will be at stake when Norwich City and Leeds United go head to head on Sunday afternoon.
The hosts have made a habit of getting relegated and then gaining promotion the following year. Things backfired last season though, with the Cherries finishing the campaign in 13th place. David Wagner’s side have responded well this season, but they have two key games to play before securing a place in the 2024-25 Premier League campaign. Leeds United are on the course to get an instant return to the English top flight after their relegation last season. The Whites looked favorites to earn automatic promotion at some point in the season, but they took their foot off the gas when it mattered most as Daniel Farke’s side lost their final two games of the campaign.
Norwich City vs Leeds United Betting Tips: Over 2.5 goals
Defending has been one of Norwich City’s problems this season. The Cherries boast just one clean sheet from their last eight games in the Championship. They scored in all but one of those fixtures and bets on over 2.5 goals were won in four of those fixtures.
Leeds United have also been very poor defensively this season, especially away from home. The Whites conceded at least two goals in each of their last four league games, and all fixtures produced at least three goals.
Recent meetings between Norwich City and Leeds United were also very entertaining. Six of the last seven meetings produced at least three goals, and I fancy Sunday’s game to end similarly.
- Best Tip: Over 2.5 goals
- Norwich City vs Leeds United prediction: 1-2

Norwich City team news
Dimitrios Giannoulis, Jonathan Rowe (both hamstring) and Grant Hanley (muscle) will once again be unavailable to Norwich City boss David Wagner this weekend due to injuries.
Josh Sargent has been the Cherries’ main man since the departure of Teemu Pukki, with the American boasting 16 goals in 26 league games this season.
Sargent is expected to lead the line and could be supported by Borja Sainz and Gabriel Sara who have 19 goals between them so far this season, while Marcelino Núñez will be the man to watch in the middle of the park.

Leeds United team news
Pascal Struijk is yet to feature for Leeds United in 2024 and this weekend’s game will come too soon for the defender.
Ethan Ampadu, Wilfried Gnonto and Daniel James are one yellow card away from a suspension, but head coach Daniel Farke has no other pressing issues.
