Old Trafford is the host for a huge FA Cup quarter-final contest on Sunday as Manchester United takes on Premiership leaders Liverpool. 

Man Utd vs Liverpool Betting Tips: Over 2.5 Goals / Liverpool to score 2+

An entertaining cup contest should be on the cards this weekend in a fixture that so often delivers in the goal markets.

While their most recent meeting at Anfield finished as a goalless draw, each of the seven previous matches between these great rivals saw over 2.5 goals scored. An often un-predictable contest, Man Utd had lost 7:0 on their last vist to Anfield before that surprise goalless draw in December.

At this venue, three of the last four meetings saw at least FIVE goals scored including Man Utd´s 3:2 FA Cup win at Old Trafford in 2021. Since 2021, 34 goals have been scored in eight matches between these sides - that's an average of four goals per game. Liverpool scored 23 while United scored 11. 

Old Trafford usually sees plenty of entertainment, irrespective of the opponent. Eight of the last 11 matches at this venue saw over 2.5 goals scored while United have now lost eight of their last 17 home games since September.

While a Liverpool win is expected, I prefer to lay my hat in the goal markets. Over 2.5 goals is a solid choice while I also expect Jurgen Klopp`s side to score at least two goals. The Red Devils have conceded two goals or more in nine of their last 18 home matches. 

With all of that in mind, I'm putting my faith in a high-scoring FA Cup contest. Over 2.5 goals is my top pick, while I also expect BTTS, and Liverpool to score at least twice at the home of their great rivals.
