After winning the continental treble last season, Manchester City are once again looking like one of the best teams in the World, pretty much capable of repeating last season's success. Currently, they are second in the Premier League, two away from the first-placed Liverpool, but with one game fewer. Throughout the season, they had to play without the injured Kevin De Bruine, and they held well. Still, objectively, they look the best with him in the squad. Now, with him back, the Citizens look super-dominant and ready for the upcoming games and the Champions League 1/8 finals, which will take place just three days after the Everton match. 

Everton had two bad seasons in the last two years, finishing 16th and 17th, only four and two points away from the relegation zone. This season, they once again found themselves among the worst teams in the Premier League. However, this time, the only reason for it is the ten-point deduction due to financial problems. If it weren't for that, they would be in 12th place. Even though we think Everton are better than the other teams from the danger zone, their form is a big reason for concern. 

Manchester City vs Everton pick: Man City to win and cover the -1.5 AH

Currently, Manchester City are in excellent form, having won nine matches in a row and seven by two goals or more. The Citizen did have a rough period in November and at the start of December when they won only two points in four Premier League games. Most football experts started questioning them, but right now, they are looking unstoppable, and at Etihad Stadium, they are the big favorites against anyone in the World.

Everton are in bad form, winning only against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup in the last ten games in all competitions. Away from home, the Blues struggled, winning two points in the last four games while scoring only one goal during that time. And to be fair, they mainly faced mediocre teams.

These teams met on December 27th, with Manchester City winning 3:1 at Goodison Park. Now, at Etihad Stadium, considering the massive difference in form, anything but a big win for the Citizens would surprise us.
