Atlético Madrid's crucial Champions League chase takes them to Mallorca this weekend, and a low-scoring encounter could be on the cards.

Diego Simeone's men make the trip to the Islands Sitting fourth in La Liga with just five games remaining, six points ahead of Bilbao in the race for UCL qualification. 

Atlético Madrid head into the match buoyed by a convincing 3-1 victory against Bilbao in their last outing. On the road, Atletico´s recent matches have been low-scoring - five of their last away fixtures saw under 2.5 goals scored. 

Hosts Mallorca come into this fixture a little short in form and now find themselves in 16th place with 32 points, only six points clear of the relegation zone. Javier Aguirre´s side are winless in four matches after a 1-1 draw at Cadiz. 

Goals are usually few and far between when the home side are involved. Los Piratas have seen under 2.5 goals in nine of their last ten matches and in each of their last three fixtures at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix. Aguirre´s men have conceded only 13 goals in 16 home games this season. 

When these two sides last met, Atlético emerged victorious with a narrow 1-0 win, courtesy of a goal from club legend Antoine Griezmann. However, the Frenchman is expected to miss out this weekend, potentially denting Atletico´s attacking quality at a tough venue. 

Given both teams' respective home and away form, we have to expect a low-scoring affair, so I'm putting my money on under 2.5 goals scored at Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.
