Lyngby vs Odense prediction 05.04.2024

After starting the relegation group with losses, Lyngby and Odense will face off in the second round of the Superliga Relegation Group at Lyngby Stadion in Kongens Lyngby. 

Throughout the season, Lyngby constantly moved between the Championship and the Relegation Group. However, with four losses in the last five games of the regular phase, the so-called Vikings finished four points away from the desired 6th place. The Relegation Group currently has Hvidovre IF on the verge of being relegated, and four points separate the remaining teams. So, we are expecting an exciting battle in the remaining competition.

For the fourth year in a row, Odense ended up in the Relegation Group. However, in the previous three, they were not even close to being relegated, finishing 17, nine, and 18 points away from the relegation spots. This year, it seems they will have a much tougher job. Currently, they are 9th, just two points away from the danger zone. 

Lyngby vs Odense pick: Both teams to score

Lyngby are in terrible form, having lost five of six matches since the Winter break. Still, they managed to score in four of those six matches. Additionally, at home, the Vikings scored in 83% of their games in all competitions (ten of 12). So, scoring a goal against Odense is a very real scenario.

For some reason, Odense have been much better on the road than at home. At their pitch, they only averaged 0.25 points per match with 0.67 goals per game. On the other hand, Odense averaged 1.9 ppm and 1.5 goals per game away from home. They will likely offer another good performance away from home and score at least once. 

In two h2h games this season, we saw both teams scoring. Additionally, both teams scored in five of the previous six matches.
