Luton vs Everton prediction 03.05.2024

The Premier League is slowly coming to an end, and as the title race is heating up, so is the battle for survival. One of the teams that are desperate to win points and avoid relegation is Luton Town. The Hatters currently sit in 18th place, just one point away from Nottingham. Even though they are very close to a safe zone, their recent form is definitely a reason for concern. Considering that 17th-placed Nottingham will face off against the worst team in the league at home (Sheffield United), Luton are under pressure to win points.

The last time Everton were relegated from the English top-flight division was all the way back in the 1950/51 season. However, they came close to it for the third consecutive year now. This year, they had an additional problem after the FA deducted them eight points, and because of it, they constantly flirted with the danger zone. However, after winning four of the last five games, they quickly moved upwards and secured survival. Right now, the Toffees are 11 points away from relegation, and considering there are only three rounds left, they do not have a real motive in this one. 

Luton vs Everton pick: Both teams to score

Luton are in terrible form, losing five of the last six matches! They are generally struggling for the last three months, winning just once in 15 matches. During that stretch of games, they failed to keep a clean sheet every time, and we do not believe they can keep their net intact. However, regardless of their results, they are definitely capable of scoring against anyone, as they scored in 14 of those 15 matches, including the games against Liverpool, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Manchester City (twice)... So, at home, we believe they can score against Everton, which are without a big motive. 

Everton, on the other hand, are in superb form. They won four of the last five matches, but all of those wins were at home. Away from home, the Toffees are not even remotely as good, failing to win in the last ten games. Still, they should be able to score against struggling Luton. On the other hand, we do not believe in a clean sheet, especially after conceding 11 in the last four road games.

Luton Town had massive success against Everton this season, beating them once in the FA Cup and once in the league with a 2:1 result. Considering all the above, we believe that both teams to score bet is the safest option for this Premier League clash.
