A coveted return to the Premier League awaits either Leeds United or Southampton, as the Championship rivals clash in a high-stakes showdown at Wembley Stadium.

Both teams come into Sunday's final having struggled to find much consistent form at the end of a long campaign. Leeds secured their place at Wembley with a dominant 4:0 win against Norwich earlier this week after failing in their bid to claim automatic promotion. 

The Lilywhites had won just one of their seven previous league matches before securing their passage to this weekend's final. 

Southampton also suffered from some inconsistency in recent weeks. The Saints won two but lost three of their last six matches. 

A tough final to call with both teams not at their best form, Southampton will take plenty of confidence from their two league victories against Leeds this season. The Saints scored an impressive 2:1 win at Elland Road just three weeks ago. Russel Martin´s side also claimed a 3:1 win when they met on the south coast earlier this season.

Four of five previous meetings between these sides saw BTTS, and while this final is often a low-scoring occasion, we could be set for a more entertaining contest this weekend. Both teams do their best work in the attacking areas, and I expect goals at Wembley.

While both teams have produced inconsistent numbers in the goal markets this season, I fancy this weekend's final to prove a high-scorer. 

BTTS is my top tip and don´t be surprised to see at least three goals scored as two attack-minded sides seek their place at England's top table.
