Hosts Hoffenheim come into Sunday's Bundesliga matchup still looking for their first win of the new year. Pellegrino Matarazzo´s men were held to a 2:2 draw at Wolfsburg last weekend after also being held to a 1:1 draw in their last home fixture a fortnight ago. 

Having made a great start to the Bundesliga season, Hoffenheim´s form has continued to dip over the past few months. While still inside the top eight of the division, the Sinsheim-based side have now won just one of their last 11 league matches and none of their last six.

At home, goals are a near-banker with Hoffenheim seeing BTTS in 18 of their last 20 home Bundesliga matches since October 2022. Remarkably, the hosts have managed just one clean sheet in their last 22 home league fixtures.

Koln makes the trip to Sinsheim boosted by a much-needed victory against Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend. The Billy Goats had won just one of their last 11 matches and none of the previous six. Timo Schultz´s side are now outside of the automatic relegation zone and three points short of safety. 

While Koln tend to struggle on their travels, we can expect the visitors to at least get on the scoresheet. The Billy Goats have won one and drawn two of their last three away matches, with a goal scored in all three games. Last weekend´s win against Frankfurt should also give Koln a welcome shot of confidence ahead of Sunday´s matchup. 

Considering Hoffenheim´s inability to keep clean sheets, we have to expect goals this weekend. Koln claimed a 3:1 win on their last visit to this venue and I'm confident we will see a repeat of that BTTS outcome.
