High-scoring finales have become customary in the Bundesliga final day of the season, and another entertaining occasion seems likely with both teams still needing points to be secure of their final standing.

Hoffenheim remain in the hunt for a European qualification place with the hosts seventh in the table and on-track to claim a place in the Europa Conference League. Pellegrino Mattarazo´s men claimed a convincing 6:0 win at Darmstadt in their last Bundesliga contest last weekend to maintain their place inside the European qualification places. 

However, with Freiburg just one point behind, the hosts could yet need a result from this fixture to assure their place in European football for only the fourth time in their history.

Former champions Bayern also have some ambitions left to fulfill. Just two points above Stuttgart, the Bavarians must win to be assured of a runners-up spot behind champions Leverkusen. 

On the road, Thomas Tuchel´s side have struggled badly for consistency in recent months. Bayern lost five and won only four of their last ten away Bundesliga fixtures. 

High-scoring outcomes have become a regular theme for the Bavarians. Bayern saw BTTS and over 3.5 goals in eight of their last ten away league matches. All ten games saw at least three goals scored while Bayern failed to keep a clean sheet since a 1:0 win at Koln in November.

With Hoffenheim one of the most reliable selections in the goal markets - the hosts have seen BTTS in 17 of their last 19 home fixtures - another high-scoring contest seems inevitable. Hoffenheim have seen an average of 4.2 goals scored in their last ten league fixtures, and I expect more of the same this Saturday.

As such, over 3.5 match goals is my top tip for what promises to be a thrilling end-of-season matchup in Sinsheim.
