Germany, one of the best national teams in the World, won its last major trophy a decade ago in the World Cup in Brazil in 2014. Since then, they have been far from impressive, at least by its standards. In the previous World Cup in Qatar, Germany finished the competition in the Group phase, which was a pure disaster. Since they are the hosts of the upcoming EURO, they did not play in the Qualifiers and played a lot of friendlies where they had mixed results. Still, as the EURO approaches, their results have only gotten better.

Greece had one of the best football stories when they won the EURO title in Portugal exactly 20 years ago. However, they will miss the upcoming EURO as they failed to qualify, making this the third EURO in a row where they won't appear. They had a pretty tough group with France, Netherlands, Ireland, and Gibraltar and finished third. Since they won the UEFA Nations League C before, they got the opportunity to play in the Playoffs but lost to Georgia in the Finals after penalties.

For the last year and a half, Germany have played only friendly matches and had mixed results at best. Still, they experimented a lot with their squad, and that is probably the key reason for those results. However, in the last three games, they managed to win against the Netherlands and France and draw with Ukraine in a match where they were a lot better and deserved a win. So, we could easily speak about a three-game winning streak if they had just a little more luck.

Greece had solid results in recent matches, but most of their good results came at home. Away from it, they lost three (one after penalties) of the last four matches. Looking further back, their only wins in the last eight road games were against Ireland and one of the weakest European teams, Gibraltar. So, expecting a good result against one of the best European teams is unreal.

Simply, Germany are a much better team. Considering all the above and especially Greece's poor road record, we believe Germany should secure a comfortable home win.
