Two sides who have experienced contrasting fortunes this season meet up on Thursday and a comfortable home win seems likely.  

Hosts Gala come into this contest currently joint top of the division, behind great rivals Fenerbahce on goal difference only. Contrastingly, Istanulspor have endured a tough campaign and currently sit bottom of the league, collecting just ten points from 21 matches.

Separated by a massive 44 points, Galatasaray are, as you would expect, short odds-on favourites to claim another win on Thursday. The home side have won seven of their last ten league matches with two goals or more scored in six of those victories. 

At home, Omar Buruk´s side have been particularly dominant in recent months with an exceptional record of 23 victories from their last 24 home league games. Gala scored 60 goals in those 23 victories while they netted at least two in 20 of the 23 wins.

With Istanbulspor losing seven of their last nine away matches, anything other than a commanding home win would be a massive surprise.

Recent meetings between these sides have also been dominated by Gala with nine wins in their last ten encounters since 2004. 

While the visitors are unlikely to fall heavily, I do expect Galatasaray to win with at least three match goals scored. That outcome has occurred in eight of the hosts last home league matches and should prove our best bet for Thursday´s Super Liga contest.
