Frosinone vs AC Milan prediction 03.02.2024

On Saturday afternoon, Frosinone will welcome a 19-time Scudetto winner, AC Milan, at Stadio Benito Stirpe in Frosinone. 

Frosinone secured the Serie A by winning the Serie B title last season after leaving Genoa seven points behind. This season, the Yellow and Blues had an excellent start, and despite a poor period from mid-December to mid-January, they are still pretty safe from the danger zone. Right now, they are 13th, with 23 points, five points away from the danger zone. Securing survival is Frosinone's "only" goal, especially since they failed to do so in their last two times when they competed in Serie A. Also, Frosinone had a nice run in the Cup, reaching the quarter-finals, where Juve eventually stopped them at Allianz Stadium. 

AC Milan won their last Scudetto in the 2021/22 season, but last season, they were nowhere close to doing so as they finished 4th, barely securing the Champions League Spot. In fact, the only reason why they played the UCL this season was Juve's ban by UEFA for financial malversations. This year, Rossoneri are not on a desired level in any competition. In Serie A, they are 3rd and slowly losing the title race with the top two teams, Inter and Juve. In the Cup, Atalanta knocked them from the Quarter-Finals, and they also failed to reach the knockout phase in the UCL. However, by finishing third in the group, they will continue their European journey in the Europa League knockout phase. 

Frosinone vs AC Milan pick: Over 2.5 goals

Frosinone have the highest goal per game (3.2) and the most games with three or more goals - 15 of 22. Defensively, they have been really bad, and with 41 conceded goals, they are the second-worst in the Serie A. On the other hand, their offense have been solid, much better than the teams from the lower part of the league's table. For example, the last season's champs, Napoli, scored only one goal more. So, at home, against Milan, which haven't been great defensively in recent games, we expect at least one scored goal.

AC Milan played only high-scoring games recently and were over 2.5 goals in the last six games in all competitions. In the last three games, their offense really looked good, scoring eight goals while missing two penalties. 

In the previous h2h game, at Milan, AC Milan won 3:1. Considering everything above, we believe that over 2.5 goals is the safest bet for this Serie A match.
