Feyenoord vs FC Groningen Betting Tips: Under 2.5 goals / Feyenoord to Win

Fresh off a comfortable 2-0 win against Almere City, Feyenoord are brimming with confidence. Despite a disappointing Europa League exit, their Eredivisie form remains strong. Unbeaten in their last nine domestic games, Feyenoord picked up seven wins during that run. 

Defensively strong, Arne Slot´s side have seen under 2.5 goals scored in each of their last six home matches while they kept clean sheets in five of those games, including a 2:0 win at Almere City this past weekend. 

In this competition, Feyenoord have come through tough tests against Eredivisie runaway leaders PSV Eindhoven (1:0) and top six contenders AZ Alkmaar (2:0). 

Groningen come into this semi-final as big underdogs despite a strong run of form in the Eerste Divisie. The visitors have lost just one of their last 18 matches across all competitions while they have kept clean sheets in six of their last eight fixtures.

Recent matches between these sides have been particularly tight. Only one of their last nine meetings saw over 2.5 goals scored including each of the last four contests in Rotterdam. 

Considering recent form and past meetings, a low-scoring encounter could well be on the cards on Thursday. Feyenoord should have enough quality to secure their place in the final but I fancy this to be a tight affair and the under 2.5 goal selection certainly offers plenty of value.
