Lahti will be looking to keep alive their hopes of extending their stay in the Finnish top flight when they play host to IIves on Saturday evening.
The hosts have made finishing in the bottom in Veikkausliga a tradition in recent years. After finishing ninth last season, Toni Lindberg’s side narrowly escaped relegation and that is not a situation they will want to be in at the end of the current campaign.
Ilves had perhaps a poorer season in 2023. The visitors finished in the bottom three after accumulating only four points from 22 games. However, they have turned things around this season. Joonas Rantanen's side head into this weekend's game with just one defeat from their last ten league games and have thus worked their way up to fourth place in the table.

Felipe Aspegren will be unavailable to IIves head coach Joonas Rantanen this weekend due to injury.
Aspegren lasted only 20 minutes in the draw with SJK last time out before being taken off due to injury and is not expected to return to action anytime soon.
Santeri Haarala is expected to keep his place in the final third despite his penalty miss in the aforementioned game, but Jere Riissanen could come in for the injured Felipe Aspegren.
