Primeira Liga action kicks-off the weekend as Farense takes on Boavista at the Estádio de São Lúis on Friday evening.

Both teams come into Friday's Primeira Liga contest short on winning form in recent weeks. 

Hosts Farense, currently 13th in the division and only four points above the relegation playoff position, have failed to win any of their last nine league matches. The home side have not claimed a league victory since a 3:1 win at Casa Pia in late January. 

While struggling to win matches, Farense have proven a surprisingly consistent choice in the goal markets. Los Leões de Faro have seen BTTS in nine of their last ten league matches and in 16 of 27 games played this season. At the Estádio de São Luís, three of their last four matches also saw both teams hitting the target. 

Boavista make the trip to Faro in similarly poor form with only two wins in their last ten league matches. The away side sit 10th in the division but only two points ahead of Farense.

Winless in 10 of their last 11 away matches, Boavista suffered a painful 6:1 defeat at Sporting in their most recent road trip. Four of the Panthers last six away matches, including each of the last three also saw BTTS.

While the Portgueuse league is not an especially high-scoring competition, this fixture does look a good choice for the BTTS pick. Previous meetings between these sides have also delivered in that market with four of their last five contests seeing both teams net. Farense claimed a 3:1 win when these sides met in the reverse fixture in Porto last November.

Given both teams lack of winning form, I'm putting my faith in goals at both ends, while a share of the spoils could prove the likeliest outcome in Faro.
