Espanyol are flying high in the Segunda division and come into Saturday's contest currently enjoying a five-match unbeaten streak after their recent victory over Real Zaragoza.  

Unbeaten in their last eight matches at the Stage Front Stadium, Manolo González´s side picked up three successive home victories before a goalless draw with Huesca three weeks ago. Since that disappointment, Espanyol picked up another point on their travels at Alcorcon before last weekend´s vital win in Zaragoza. The Barcelona-based side now sit third in the division, just four points behind leaders Leganes. 

Contrastingly, Tenerife have only managed to win two of their last 12 league outings and now sit 13th in the division with 41 points collected from 31 games played.

On the road, the Canary Islanders have been especially poor with only one win picked up from 13 away league fixtures since last September. Asier Garitano´s side lost eight of those 13 games including a 4:2 loss at Racing Santander in their last away fixtures a fortnight ago. The Tete Chicharreros Tinerfeños have failed to win their last six on their travels since December. 

With a strong home record and facing a side that usually struggles in road matches, I'm confident Espanyol can overcome the Tenerife challenge on Saturday evening.
