EURO is in focus for all football fans right now, but fans of Espanyol and Real Oviedo will, at least on Sunday, focus on the La Liga 2 promotion playoff final. In the first leg, Real Oviedo won 1-0, but now, the teams will meet in Barcelona, where Espanyol will be the host. 

Espanyol spent only six seasons outside of the highest tier of football of Spanish football. After relegation in the last season, Espanyol were one of the favorites to win La Liga 2. However, the team from Barcelona finished fourth in the regular part of the season, so they have to look for promotion via playoff. Espanyol had a great run of 18 games without a loss until last weekend when they lost 1-0 against Real Oviedo. 

Real Oviedo haven't played in La Liga since 2001, but now they are only a step away from returning to the best Spanish league. After the regular 42 La Liga 2 rounds, Real Oviedo finished 6th, which was the last position that led into the promotion playoff battle. Real Oviedo are in a solid form with the last three games without a defeat. 

Espanyol vs Real Oviedo pick: Under 2.5 goals

Espanyol and Real Oviedo had the first leg last weekend, and in that game, Real Oviedo won 1-0. Both these teams rely heavily on their defenses. Espanyol allowed only two goals in the last eight matches, while Real Oviedo didn't allow any goals in the previous three games. We shouldn't expect too many goals in the promotion playoff final, so under 2.5 goals should be the best option for this tie.
