Bundesliga leaders Leverkusen will be desperate for a return to winning form when they take on Darmstadt at the Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor.

Leverkusen make the journey to Darmstadt looking to bounce back from a surprising goalless draw with Monchengladbach last weekend. Having won seven and drawn two of their previous nine games with a whopping 23 goals scored, Leverkusen dropped their first points at home after being frustrated by a resolute BMG side.

Still top of the division, with a two-point advantage on title-holders Bayern, Leverkusen remain unbeaten in 29 competitive games played across all competitions this season. 

Now on the road again, Leverkusen will be confident of claiming another three points against their struggling hosts. Xabi Alonso´s side have won seven drawn two of nine road games this season with an impressive 21 goals scored in the process.

Contrastingly, Darmstadt enter Friday's contest currently fighting for their Bundesliga live. Bottom of the division with only 11 points collected,  Torsten Lieberknecht´s side sit six points short of safety. 

On their own patch, Darmstadt have struggled badly with only six points collected from ten games played. The Lilies have lost five of their last seven home matches although they did claim a 2:2 draw with Eintracht last time out.

While Leverkusen should not expect an easy day´s work, I am confident the visitors will have more than enough quality to maintain their advantage at the top of the division. I´m backing Leverkusen to win with at least two goals scored.
