Saturday´s Serie A contest sees Cuiaba looking for a third successive victory following a pair of impressive results in the past week. After a scorching 5:0 win against ten men Fortaleza last weekend, Cuiba backed up that first win of the season with a 1:0 victory on the road at Sao Paulo on Wednesday. 

Having previously picked up just four points from their first eight games of the season, Cuiaba now find themselves up to 13th in the division, two points ahead of Atletico GO.

Prior to last Saturday's thumping victory against Fortaleza, Petit´s men had failed to score or win any of their first four Serie A games at Arena Pantanal this season (D1, L3). 

Visiting Atletico GO make the trip to Mato Grosso in the midst of a frustratingly inconsistent run of results. The away side have won four, lost six and drawn two of their last 12 matches played over the past couple of months. 

Jair Ventura´s side have endured a particularly tough run of results in Serie A since the back-end of last season. Atletico lost eight and won only two of their last 15 games played in Brazil´s top flight. 

Historically a tight fixture, each of their last five encounters finished deadlocked. Six of eight previous meetings ended as draws, while under 2.5 goals were scored in seven of those fixtures.

Neither side have proven consistent enough to consider backing this weekend, and given past encounters, a low-scoring draw has to be the best choice on Saturday.
