The Premiership title race comes down to the wire this weekend with only three points separating Celtic and Rangers ahead of their huge clash on Saturday.

Current holders Celtic cemented their status as favourites to claim yet another Premiership title with a comprehensive 3:0 win against Hearts last weekend. Now, with only three games remaining, and boasting a three point lead, and superior goal difference, the Hoops would all but wrap up their 12th title in 13 years should they claim the spoils this weekend. 

While the hosts are favourites to secure victory, we can expect a hugely competitive contest with Rangers still very much in the title hunt after their vital 4:1 win against Kilmarnock last weekend. Having dropped five points in disastrous away performances at Ross County and Dundee, Phillipe Clement´s side have responded well with three successive wins, including a 2:0 Scottish Cup semi final victory. 

Despite missing several first-team players, the Gers sit within touching distance of their rivals but with only three games remaining in the campaign, a win is a must for the blue half of Glasgow.

Recent meetings between these sides have been competitive and entertaining, although the Hoops remain unbeaten in their three previous encounters this season. After a 2:1 win at Celtic Park in December, the Gers claimed a point after a thrilling fightback saw them claim a 3:3 draw at Ibrox in April. 

Goals can usually be expected when these giants of Scottish football lockhorns. Seven of their last nine encounters saw over 2.5 goals scored and I expect a similar outcome this weekend. 

I´m backing over 2.5 goals scored in Glasgow with the expectation that a determined Rangers make a real fight of what is sure to be a high octane occasion. I expect BTTS, and a hugely entertaining matchup at Parkhead.
