Valencia will be looking to sealed their place in the top half of the Spanish top flight table when travel this weekend to Celta Vigo for the final game of the season.

The hosts were among the bottom three at some point this season, but the sacking of Rafael Benítez and subsequent appointment of head coach Claudio Giráldez changed everything. Celta Vigo have been great to watch since the latter took over, especially at home, where they are unbeaten in five matches (four wins). The Sky Blues enter this weekend’s game with back to back wins against the likes of Bilbao and Granada, and will be looking to extend that run.

Valencia in contrast have been on the opposite end of the spectrum in recent weeks. The visitors travel to Balaidos on the back of consecutive defeats and have not won in their last six league games. Míchel’s men still have a chance of finishing in the top half of the table, but they will need to pick up at least one point or ensure they do not suffer a heavy defeat.

Betting Tips Celta Vigo vs Valencia: Both teams to score

Celta Vigo are on their best run since the start of the 2023-24 campaign, but there is room for improvement in defence. The hosts are without a clean sheet in their last seven games, and I expect that run to continue this weekend.

Valencia have a great record when it comes to scoring goals at this ground. Míchel’s side scored in each of their last three La Liga visits to Balaídos and struck twice in each of the last two.
