Brentford will be looking for a win that will move them further away from the relegation when they face one of the relegation favorites Burnley at Turf Moor this weekend.

Burnley gave their fans plenty to cheer about in the Championship last season, but have been unable to repeat the feat in the most important competition in England. The Clarets did put themselves in a great position to secure their fourth win of the season last weekend by going into the half time break with a two goal advantage over West Ham United at the London Stadium. Two second-half goals from the Hammers forced a draw and extended the winless streak of Kompany's side in all competitions to eleven games.

Brentford are three places above the relegation zone, but their 2023-24 campaign has been anything but good considering they finished last season in the top half. Ivan Toney's return to the side after a lengthy ban for gambling did start on a good note with Brentford beating Forest 3-2 at home. But since then, the visitors have won just one game, suffered five defeats and drawn one.

When it comes to home games, Burnley have not been at it this season. Vincent Kompany's side have the worst home record in the division, having won just one of their fourteen home fixtures so far (eleven defeats, two draws).

Like their hosts, Brentford are also not in good form, but did well in their recent encounters with Burnley. The Bees won the last two Premier League meetings between the two sides without conceding and I expect a similar result this weekend.
