Both teams come into this contest struggling for form in their respective leagues. Bristol City comes into this fixture currently 13th in the Championship and winless in their last four league matches after a 1:1 draw with Watford last weekend. Of course, the Robins did secure their place in the FA Cup fourth round with a fine win against West Ham a fortnight ago. 

Likewise, Nottingham Forest have been suffering from their own troubles in the Premier League this season but do seem to be improving under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo. The Tricky Trees picked up just one behind in seven league matches before recent victories against Newcastle and Manchester United. Unfortunately, Forest were unable to make it three wins in a row after a frustrating 3:2 loss at Brentford last weekend.

Goals can usually be expected when Forest are involved. The visitors have seen BTTS in seven of their last eight games while each of their last six matches also saw at least three goals scored. The Tricky Trees also secured their place in the fourth round of this competition with a dramatic 3:2 win at Blackpool.

With Bristol sure to put up a strong fight in front of their own support, I expect this to be an exciting and competitive contest where we can be confident of both teams scoring. 

I´m backing BTTS in a game where I can't pick a winner. Both teams will fancy their chances of progressing to the next round, but don´t be surprised if this tie needs a replay to find a decisive outcome.
