Arsenal will be looking to keep alive their hopes of winning the Premier League for the first time in 20 years when they travel to Brighton this weekend.

The hosts can look back on an amazing 2022-23 season when they qualified for European football for the first time in their history, but they failed to capitalise on the opportunity. Roberto De Zerbi's side were eliminated by Roma in the Europa League round of 16 and currently sit ninth in the table.

Nevertheless, the Seagulls can take heart from their solid home record ahead of this weekend's visit of Arsenal. Brighton go into Saturday's game on a run of fourteen consecutive games without defeat at the Falmer Stadium and played the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham in that time.

Arsenal flopped in the decisive moments last season and are keen to avoid a similar story this season. The Gunners were on the receiving end of plenty of criticisms for their defensive approach against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last weekend but they responded well, beating Luton 2-0 in midweek to go top of the table before Liverpool's game against Sheffield.

Brighton were not able to hit the back of the net over the course of 90 minutes against relegation candidates Brentford in midfield but the Seagulls rarely disappoint at home. Roberto De Zerbi’s men have only failed to score at the Falmer Stadium once this season, so expect at least one goal from them this weekend.

No one needs to be told how good Arsenal have been in the final third this season. The Gunners failed to score in just one of their last eleven games and their goal scoring record against Brighton is also good.
