Manchester United will be looking to keep their top four hopes alive when they face Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium this weekend.

Brentford have failed to live up to the standards they set themselves last season. The Bees are currently just three places above the relegation zone and go into this weekend's game on a run of six games without a win. Most recently, they suffered a surprise defeat to relegation candidates Burnley before the international fixture, so fans will be hoping for a reaction against United.

Manchester United themselves are not having a good season as they sit three places below where they finished in 2022-23. The Red Devils have however managed to pick up some key wins this season even when they haven't played well. A good example is the win over Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals before the international break, considering the number of chances the Klopp's side missed.

Goals have been the big headline in Brentford's recent games. Bets on over 2.5 goals were won in each of the last four games of the Bees and I fancy a similar outcome this weekend.

Manchester United are among the top five best defences in the division but they have failed to show their defensive solidity in recent league games. The Red Devils boast just two clean sheets from their last eleven Premier League outings and only two of those games ended with fewer than 2.5 goals.
