Brann will be confident of picking up another victory on Thursday with the hosts coming into this fixture currently unbeaten in six Eliteserien matches. Eirik Horneland´s side maintained their solid recent form with a 2:0 away victory at Lillestrom last time out. 

Placed second in the Norwegian top flight, two points behind league leaders Bodo Glimt, Brann have a particularly strong record at Brann Stadion. Horneland´s side have won 15 and lost just two of their last 19 fixtures in Bergen since their return to the Eliteserien in 2023. 

Brann also boasts a winning record in recent home matches against Sandefjord with victories picked up in three of their last four meetings at Brann Stadion. 

Sandefjord come into Thursday's contest boosted by back-to-back home wins against Molde (3:1) and Sarpsborg (4:1). Hans Ødegaard´s side had picked up just one point from their first four league games of the new season. 

On the road, the visitors struggled to find much form last season and the new campaign has brought little change in fortune for Sandefjord. After losing five of their last six away matches at the end of last season, Ødegaard´s side have picked up just one point from three games played on their travels this season. 

While Sandefjord are likely to make this a difficult test for the in-form hosts, I´m confident Brann can maintain their winning run on Thursday. A home win is my top tip for this Eliteserien contest.
