A place in the Championship is up for grabs on Saturday as Bolton takes on Oxford United in the final of the League One playoffs at Wembley Stadium.

Bolton come into this match as favourites to make their long-awaited return to the Championship. Ian Evatt´s side finished the League One season in third place, five points short of second-placed Derby but ten points ahead of Oxford who finished the campaign in fifth place.

Recent form also lends weight to Bolton´s favourite status. Unbeaten in their last six league fixtures of the season, the Wanderers claimed their place in this weekend's final with a thrilling 5:4 aggregate win against Barnsley ten days ago. 

An entertaining team to watch, Bolton have seen plenty of goals in recent matches. The Wanderers saw BTTS and over 3.5 goals in four of their last five matches while they scored at least two goals in seven of their last eight fixtures. 

Bolton scored a huge 5:0 win when these sides last met in March, however, since then Oxford have been in great form. Des Buckinham´s side won six and lost just one of their last ten matches over the past two months. The U´s secured their place in this weekend's final with a hard-fought 2:1 aggregate victory against Peterborough. Three of their last four matches saw BTTS, and that outcome seems likely this weekend. 

A tough final to call, both teams have been in good form and while Bolton are deserved favourites, Oxford cannot be written off, despite their heavy defeat against the Wanderers in March.
