Hosts Bayern Munich return to the Allianz Arena after a painful elimination from the Champions League on Wednesday. Having lead in the Bernabeu in the second half, two goals from Joselu in the dying embers saw the Bavarians dreams of European glory put to bed for another season.

In a rare trophyless season, Bayern will be keen to finish their home campaign on a high and you would expect them to bounce back against a Wolfsburg side that finds themselves languishing in 12th spot in the Bundesliga. 

Thomas Tuchel´s side can usually be relied upon at the Allianz Arena. Bayern won 12 and lost only two of their last 14 Bundesliga matches in Munich with a whopping 46 goals scored in those 12 wins. The hosts also saw over 2.5 goals scored in 12 of their last 14 home Bundesliga victories. 

Wolfsburg make the trip to Munich safe from the threat of relegation and in much better form under the charge of recently appointed former Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhüttl. The visitors have won four of their last six league matches including each of their past three. They had failed to win ten successive matches during a barren run before the appointment of Hasenhüttl.

Still, the task against Bayern will be a stiff one with Wolfsburg in possession of a miserable recent record against the Bavarians. The visitors have lost 17 of their last 19 meetings with their last win in this fixture coming back in 2015. 

While Wolfsburg have improved in recent weeks, and are capable of scoring, I fancy Bayern to show some character and pick up the points after their midweek disappointments. I'm backing the hosts to win, and I expect at least three goals scored in the process.
