After a superb Europa League win at Liverpool, Atalanta return to Serie A duty when they host Verona at the Gewiss Stadium on Monday.

Atalanta have been in superb form at the Gewiss Stadium and will be confident of claiming another win on Monday. La Dea have won seven of their last eight home league outings with an impressive 22 goals scored. 

While the hosts did slip to a 2:1 defeat against an in-form Bologna in their most recent home fixture, six weeks ago but Gian Piero Gasperini´s side showed their class with a magnificent 3:0 win at Liverpool on Thursday. La Dea have won three of their last five matches after failing to win five successive games between the end of February and mid-March.

Visiting Verona make the trip to Bergamo still fighting for their Serie A futures. The away side sit 17th in the division, just one point above the relegation zone. 

On their travels, Marco Baroni´s side have struggled this season with ten defeats and just one win picked up from their last 15 away league matches.

Historically, Verona usually make life difficult for Atalanta in Bergamo - the visitors have won two of their last three away matches at the Gewiss Stadium while they bagged at least one goal in five of their last six away games in Bergamo.

Still, Atalanta´s midweek win at Anfield should give them even more confidence heading into the final weeks of the season. 

I´m backing La Dea to win, with at least three match goals expected. Verona are likely to get on the scoresheet with Gasperini´s men only keeping clean sheets in three of their last 10 home league matches.
