The 2024 Europa League Final promises to be an enthralling encounter between two dynamic attacking sides. 

Leverkusen have been nothing short of sensational this season. Their 51-game unbeaten run across all competition has been a testament to their remarkable resilience, tactical acumen, and attacking quality. The recently crowned Bundesliga champions scored injury time equalisers on three occasions over the past month to preserve their remarkable unbeaten sequence. 

After several scares in recent weeks, Xabi Alonso´s side finally secured an unbeaten season in the Bundesliga with a 2:1 win against Augsburg on Saturday. Also unbeaten in their last 13 Europa League games, the German champions have not lost in over 12 months since a defeat at Bochum in 2023.

Atalanta come into this final on the back of a disappointing defeat in the final of the Coppa Italia against Juventus. Gian Piero Gasperini´s side were favourites to claim the coveted prize but fell short in a bad-tempered occasion at the Stadio Olimpico.

While this final promises to be a more attack-minded contest, Leverkusen´s strength of character could prove the difference in a fascinating battle in Dublin.Considering Leverkusen's incredible unbeaten run and their overall performance throughout the tournament, it's hard to see anyone stopping the Germans now.  

While I expect a closely contested match, Leverkusen's experience and resilience in high-stakes encounters should see them through to victory.
