Champions League qualification hopefuls Aston Villa return to Premier League duty on Monday evening as they take on Liverpool at Villa Park.

Aston Villa´s European adventures came to an end on Thursday with a 2:0 defeat against Olympiakos in Greece. Trailing 4:2 from the first leg, the Villains were unable to recover the deficit, as they slipped to a painful second leg loss in Piraeus. 

Despite those disappointments, Unai Emery´s side have enjoyed a superb season and come into Monday's fixture still inside the top four of the Premier League. Seven points clear of Tottenham, albeit having played one game more, Villa stand on the precipice of a first-ever Champions League qualification. 

At Villa Park, entertainment can usually be expected this season. The Villains have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals in ten of their last 13 home fixtures. Emery´s side have failed to keep a clean sheet in nine of their last ten EPL games in Birmingham. 

Liverpool enter this fixture with their hopes of a Premier League title likely to be over following the weekend's action. The Red sit third in the division, five points behind Arsenal and four behind champions Man City.

In Jurgen Klopp's final season in the job, Liverpool have suffered a dip in form in recent weeks with only three wins picked up from their last eight matches. On their travels, the Reds have failed to win four of their last six matches, while they have managed just one clean sheet in their last seven away fixtures. 

Considering both teams lack of clean sheets in recent weeks, I'm confident we will see another open and exciting contest at Villa Park. BTTS and over 2.5 goals both look nailed on selections, and I´ll be backing both as a double on Monday.
