One of Antigua and Barbuda’s two World Cup qualifiers scheduled for the month of June take place this week at ABFA Technical Centre as they play host to Bermuda.

The hosts are in the hunt for their first ever qualification for the FIFA World Cup. At the last qualifiers in 2021/22, they finished third in a group of five nations in the first round, losing just one game. Compared to their performances in other editions of the competition, this can be seen as a step in the right direction, although the main goal was not achieved.

Bermuda have also not had luck on their side when it comes to qualifying for the World Cup. The visitors finished third in their group in this competition last time out, but only managed one win in four encounters.  

Antigua and Barbuda vs Bermuda Betting Tips: Draw and over 2.5 goals

It’s difficult to separate these two nations at the moment, with Antigua and Barbuda winless in three games, while the visitors won just two of their last their competitive games.

The hosts just can’t defend at the moment. Mikele Leigertwood’s side were last in action in March against Guyana in the Concacaf Nations League, a game in which they conceded six goals. It was the third consecutive games that the Benna Boys conceded at least two goals, and all three fixtures produced over three goals.

Barbuda boast one clean sheet from their last five games but that was in a friendly against Bermuda. Michael Findlay’s side were hit for five in their most recent outing with Guinea, and also shipped three goals in their last meeting with the Benna Boys.
