On Monday afternoon, two big Swedish teams, AIK and Goteborg, that play well below their expectations, will face off at Friends Arena in Solna in the 11th round of the Allsvenskan.
AIK came to this season after one of their worst in a long time. They finished 11th, much closer to the relegation zone than European spots. This year, they had a good start in the Svenska Cupen as they reached the Semi-Finals but lost to Djurgarden after the penalty shootout. They also started well in Allsvenskan and held the second place after the first several rounds. However, with four losses in the last five matches, they significantly dropped in the standings and are now 8th with 14 points.
Goteborg are one of the biggest clubs in Sweden. Still, in the last seven years, they were mostly in the middle or lower part of the league's table. This year, they had another disappointing start in the Cup after being eliminated in the group phase. In the Allsvenskan, they weren't much better as they are currently 12th with 11 points, just one point away from direct relegation and on a level with points with 14th-place Varnamo, which is in the relegation playout spot.

AIK's defense totally collapsed in recent five games, allowing an incredible 18 goals - 3.6 per game! So, a clean sheet is totally out of the question.
