Sao Paulo come into this cup contest in a good run of form having extended their unbeaten run to three matches with a goalless draw at Palmeiras on Monday.

Just four games into the Serie A season, Luis Zubeldía´s side have picked up only four points but having lost their first two matches of the campaign, have responded well in recent outings with away wins at Atlético Goianiense and Barcelona (Copa Libertadores) before their away point gained on Monday.

On the road, the Tricolor Paulista have won four of their last six games and they come into Thursday's Brazilian cup tie as favourites to progress into the fourth round.

Aguia de Maraba, who currently ply their trade in Brazil´s fourth-tier, come into this contest as big underdogs, particularly considering their recent form which has seen them lose each of their last three matches. Still, the hosts should not be under-estimated having already eliminated Serie B opponents Coritiba in the last round.
