Ceres Park & Arena plays host to the first-leg of a DBU Pokalen quarter-final tie between AGF and Brondby this Thursday.

A competitive contest between two strong teams is on the cards this week with both sides in good form this season. 

AGF come into this quarter-final first leg currently fourth in the Danish Superliga and unbeaten in their last eight matches across all competitions (W5, D3). In fact, the hosts have lost just two of their last 19 matches but one of those defeats was a 3:0 home loss against Brondby. Since then, they have lost just one of 11 games and none of their last nine. 

Eight points behind leaders Midtjylland, Uwe Rosler´s side enjoyed an excellent 2:1 away win at champions Copenhagen this past weekend, suggesting a title-challenge is not out of the question. 

Like AGF, Brondby have also enjoyed a superb run of form in recent months. The visitors are ten games unbeaten while they have lost just one of their last 16 since mid-August. 

Currently second in the Danish Superliga, Brondby are unbeaten in their last seven on the road although each of their last three did finish deadlocked. As a result, they hold just a one point advantage ahead of third-placed FC Copenhagen. 

A tough match to call with both teams in strong form, Brondby are favourites after their dominant win at this venue in September but AGF have improved since that defeat. Ultimately, we could be in for a share of the spoils on Thursday. Three of the last four meetings between these sides at this venue finished deadlocked, while Brondby have drawn their last three on the road.

With that in mind, I fancy a low-scoring draw in this cup contest, so a punt on under 2.5 goals or BTTS could prove profitable but I'm taking my chances on a share of the spoils.
