Aarhus vs Nordsjaelland prediction 03.05.2024

With only six rounds left, Aarhus are pretty much without a chance of finishing in the top three and securing Europe that way. Right now, they are 5th - 14 points away from the 3rd-placed Nordsjaelland. However, Aarhus will have a chance of securing Europe through the Cup. In Landspokal, they reached the Finals, where they will face off against Slikeborg after this league match. So, we shouldn't expect Aarhus to take this league game too seriously. They might even rotate the squad because they have their eyes set on winning the Cup and securing the Europa League.

Nordsjaelland last season finished 2nd only four points away from the title. This year, they are once again among the best teams in Denmark and only two points away from 2nd and 3rd place. However, 1st-placed Bondby is six points away and it will be hard to catch them. Still, considering they are the hottest team in Denmark for last two months, anything is possible. Still, despite being in good form in the league, they had problems in the Cup, where Aarhus eliminated them in the previous round. 

Aarhus vs Nordsjaelland pick: Both teams to score

This will be the fourth duel between these teams in about a month. While Aarhus were better in the Cup, eliminating Nordsjaelland on a 4:2 aggregate, Nordsjaelland were better in the league, absolutely dominating the match and winning 7:2. More importantly for us, two of those three matches finished with both teams scoring. 

Aarhus' defense collapsed in the last three matches, allowing 12 goals - four per game and we do not trust their defense. However, we believe they will score at home as they did in 14 of 16 matches this season. Even if they rotate the squad, they should score. 

Meanwhile, Nordsjaelland are in excellent form, especially if we focus only on the league, where they won four of the last five matches. Additionally, in the last ten matches, they only once failed to score a goal and were generally good offensively throughout the season, scoring 49 goals - 1.81 per game. 

Considering all the above, we believe that both teams to score is the best bet for this Superliga tie.
