- Competition: King Cup, Semi-Finals
- Date: Tuesday, 30th April, 2024
- Kickoff: 19:00 UTC +1 / 20:00 CEST
- Venue: King Abdullah Sports City (Jeddah)
On Tuesday evening, we will watch the 167th Saudi El Clasico between Al Ittihad and Al Hilal at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah in the King Cup Semi-Finals.
Al Ittihad are one of the teams that invested a lot of money into this season and added high-profile players that played in Europe. However, their season is not going according to plan. They are 5th in the league with 50 points, 30 less than their rivals Al Hilal, which holds the top spot. Al Hilal pretty much ruined Al Ittihad's season in the other two competitions, eliminating them from the AFC Champions League and dominating them in the Super Cup (4:1) just half a month ago. Now, they will have the opportunity to repay them somewhat and at least win the Cup game.
Al Hilal also invested a lot of money, and until they met Al Ain in the AFC Champions League, they had an almost perfect season, and it looked like they could win the quadruple. Unfortunately for their fans, Al Ain eliminated them mostly due to a strange 4:2 loss in the first leg when Al Ain was awarded three penalties! Besides that failure, Al Hilal has been excellent, already winning the Super Cup, and the league title is almost a certainty as they have a 12-point advantage over Al Nassr with only six rounds left.
Al Ittihad vs Al Hilal pick: Al Hilal to win
Al Ittihad are not playing on an expected level throught the season. Lately, they only won twice in six matches, which is unacceptable considering the amount of money they invested.
On the other hand, Al Hilal are absolutely great. Yes, that game against Al Ain ruined the picture of a perfect season, but that's only one game! Incredibly, Al Hilal won 35 of the last 36 games in all competitions! That alone speaks just how dominating they are.
This season, Al Ittihad and Al Hilal played six h2h games in all competitions, with Al Hilal wining every single time! Considering what we have seen from these teams this year, the difference in form and the h2h matches, we strongly believe Al Hilal will win this King Cup match.

Al Hilal team news
One of the biggest stars currently in Saudi Arabia, Neymar, missed almost the entire season due to an injury he sustained while playing for his national team, Brazil. According to Saudi Arabian media reports, Neymar is recovering better than expected but should miss the remainder of the season in Saudi Arabia regardless.
Aleksandar Mitrovic, the second top-goalscorer in the league behind Cristiano Ronaldo, missed the previous seven matches. However, according to Serbian media reports, Mitrovic has fully recovered and should be in the starting lineup for the upcoming match. His return will surely be a big boost for Al Hilal, considering he was one of their best players this season.
