At Yeni Adana Stadyumu in Adana on Friday afternoon, Adana Demirspor will host title-chasing Galatasaray.

Adana Demirspor came to this season after one of the best ones in their history, finishing 4th and securing the Europa Conference League Qualifiers. They had excellent qualifiers but lost the final round to Genk after a penalty shootout. They also had an excellent start in the domestic league and were just behind Fenerbahce and Galatasaray for the first third of the season. However, since then, their performances have declined heavily. They are now in 11th place with 41 points, without a real chance of moving significantly up or down.

From the start of the season, it was evident that Galatasaray would be locked in a two-horse race with Fenerbahce for the title. They went toe-to-toe with them, but after Fenerbahce drew 2:2 vs Sivasspor, Galatasaray got some breathing room and now have a four-point advantage. Even though there are only five rounds left, Galata are not safe because they will have an h2h matchup with Fenerbahce, and they will want to keep that four-point advantage before that one.

Adana Demirspor have been terrible in the second part of the season. Since the winter break, they played 17 games and won only two of them! So, expecting a positive result against the super-dominant Galatasaray is entirely unreal.

On the other hand, Galatasaray won six league games in a row while completely dominating the opponents and scoring 20 goals - 3.33 per game. Throughout the season, they looked unstoppable, but it seems they are on another level right now.
