Following a heavy 3:0 loss at early Allsvenskan title rivals Elfsborg, Malmo returns to the Eleda Stadion to take on Degerfors.

Malmo will be keen to return to winning ways on Monday, and based on the supporting evidence, a  home win does look like the likeliest outcome for this Allsvenskan fixture.

Coming into this contest, Malmo have won four of their previous five home league games and eight of ten games played this season in total. Contrastingly, the visitors arrive at the Eleda Stadion having lost all four of their away games in this campaign. Going back a year, Degerfors have only managed to win one of 15 previous road matches, although they have enjoyed a three-game unbeaten run at home with five points collected over the past fortnight. 

Currently sitting in 12th place, Degerfors have lost half of their first 12 matches, while their last away success came at the end of last season, over seven months ago.

Historically, Malmo have also dominated this fixture, with Henrik Rydström´s side claiming victories in six of seven previous meetings since 2014. More recently, Malmo scored a 2:1 success when these sides last met at the Eleda Stadion in March, while you have to go back all the way to 1997 to find Degerfor's last victory against Di blåe.

With all of that in mind, we expect Malmo to get back on the winning saddle while they should be able to score at least two goals with that feat achieved in six of their last seven home league fixtures and in all six previous victories against Degerfors over the past decade.

Therefore, we´re confidently tipping a home win with at least two match goals, with Malmo surely proving too strong for a Degerfors side that continues to struggle on their travels and in previous matches at this venue.
