On Sunday afternoon, relegation candidates Cadiz and Mallorca will face off in the 33rd round of La Liga at Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla in Cadiz.

Cadiz were mostly among the worst teams in La Liga since their arrival in the 2020/21 season, but they managed to survive. This year, the Yellow Submarine is in a tough position six rounds before the end of the season. They are in 18th place, six points away from the next two teams - Celta Vigo and their next opponent, Mallorca. So, this match is crucial because they need a win in the h2h match to close the gap between them to three points.

Mallorca came to this season after a superb one last year when they finished 9th, just three points away from Europe. They reached the Copa del Rey Finals but lost it after the penalty shootout. On the other hand, the team from the Balearic Islands was nowhere as good in La Liga since they found themselves six points away from the relegation zone. However, with a positive result against Cadiz, Mallorca would take a massive step in securing survival.

With 22 and 26 scored goals in 32 rounds, Cadiz and Mallorca are the worst offensive teams in La Liga. However, they are solid on the defensive end - much better than the other two teams in the relegation zone. Because of bad offense and solid defense, these teams were under 2.5 goals in 75% and 72% of their La Liga games.
