Winning just one of their last four Premiership games, champions Celtic will look for a return to winning form when they take on Hibernian in their penultimate league fixture of the season.

Having secured the title, Celtic have gone off the boil somewhat, with the visitors slipping to a 3:0 loss at rivals Rangers before a come-from-behind 2:2 draw at home to St Mirren this past weekend.

While the title has already been secured, the Hoops have seen their advantage reduce to eight points and with a Scottish Cup final to come in June, Ange Postecoglu will be determined to see his team raise their game ahead of that showpiece occasion at Hampden Park.

Hibs also come into this fixture in fairly poor form, having lost five and won only two of their nine most recent Premiership contests. Beaten 3:1 at this venue by Rangers on Sunday, the Hibees remain fifth in the division, four points behind city rivals Hearts.

Goals have been a common theme in Hibs home fixtures this season, with eight of their last ten games at Easter Road seeing at least three goals scored. Four of their last five also saw BTTS, and considering Celtic´s firepower, we should expect to see at least three on Wednesday evening.

On their travels, Celtic have seen the over 2.5 goal mark broken in six of their last nine, with the Hoops scoring at least two in eight successive road games prior to their 3:0 beatdown at Rangers ten days ago.

Historically, Celtic have dominated this fixture, although recent contests have proved entertaining, with five of the last seven seeing at least three goals scored. Those numbers also extend to meetings at this venue, with five of seven also seeing over 2.5 goals. 

With Rangers recording a simple win at this venue on Sunday, Celtic will be keen to follow suit, and a repeat outcome seems likely, with the visitors attacking quality likely to prove too much for a Hibs rearguard that has struggled when facing both of the Glasgow pair this season.
